Wood for Energy Plant Fuel

Plans are underway for the development of a £24 M energy plant that will utilize only woody
biomass as fuel. This plant is being designed for Cromatry Firth in Scotland. The company Balcas is putting up the plant that will create 38 full-time jobs and will reduce 170,000 tons of carbon emissions per year. This energy plant will provide heat for as much as 20,000 homes. Investing help has been received by the government for this project through a £5 M fund infusion. Read more about this story here.
