Where is the best place to set up a wind turbine for energy generation? Where else but the place you are trying to save from GHG led destruction! Eight wind turbines will be erected in the South Pole to power Antartic research stations. Once erected, these wind mills will be subjected to torturous conditions, no small task. But at the end of the day it really is just putting your money where your mouth is, and in this case, its getting renewable energy technologies to work for research that is helping us understand what we have been doing to the planet.
