Waste to Fuel Technology from a Seattle-based Company

Filed in archive Biomass on August 2, 2006

A private Washington-based company called Green Power Incorporated has claimed to have the technology available for converting all forms of solid or liquid waste (except radiation waste) to ready-to-use diesel that is cleaner and purer that diesel sold at the pump.

The company says that all landfill materials and wastes can be converted into re-usable fuel with water being removed and purified in the process as well. A process called Catalytic Depolymerisation which uses patented technology will process all materials, break them down, and convert them to fuel oil which will then be distilled and collected in storage tanks. The company further claims that no greenhouse or other toxic gasses are created or emitted because of the relatively low reaction temperatures involved.

An answer to our solid waste problems or just too good to be true? Tell me what you think.
