Washington Doesn't Do Renewable - Yet
Filed in archive Current News on May 29, 2007
Mayors of major cities all over the planet are going against climate change except Washington DC who seems to be hearing a different tune, according to this article. If you recall, several mayors met in New York this month to discuss cooperative and aggregated action against greenhouse gas emissions. But Washington DC, the US' capital, isn't budging --- yet. Am I alone in thinking that Washington believes that "legislating enough climate change and renewable energy laws is enough"? Come on! Whatever happens to preachers practicing what they preach and leaders taking on the first step? If the US is really committed to its RE platform and climate change reduction, it should do so in its capital city. Send out that message to the world!
