The debate in Britain continues on the merit of wind farms. The importance of a renewable energy resource has never been clearer, but there are many who have picked their sides and are sticking to their guns. Alongside these debates come the calls to scrap the nuclear defence system Trident, a move that would save multiple billions a year, and while this seems to be heralding in a new age of energy and power there are some that see the left wing at work in both these and the calls for wind farms to be built around the country.

While many of the blinkered like Jeremy Clarkson see them as a "monstrosity", the Guardian have printed a few pictures which should surely change the minds of the thinkers. The UK is surrounded by water, so what exactly is the problem with covering the coasts off the shipping lanes with these wind turbines, a move which would free up our foreign policy, our money and one which would set a cleaner precedent for governments to come.
