A few days ago, I wrote a series about Terra Preta and the potential of this new "old technology" to help create carbon sinks that "really" work. Allow me to indulge in writing about Terra Preta again but please, please excuse the mimicry of the "Lord's Prayer" (Catholics know this well), I didn't write this, it was just sent over. Again, hat-tip to Erich J. Knight the internet's foremost Terra Preta advocate.

Our Carbon who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name
By kingdom come, thy will be done, IN the Earth to make it Heaven.
It will give us each day our daily bread and forgive us our atmospheric trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against the Kyoto protocols
And lead us not into fossil fuel temptation, but deliver us from its evil
As we walk through the valley of the shadow of Global Warming, I will feel no evil, your Bio-fuels and fertile microbes will comfort me,
For thine is the fungal kingdom, and the microbe power, and the Sequestration Glory,
For ever and ever (well at least 2000 years) AMEN
