The Science Daily reports of a new alternative energy source for powering medical devices, sensors and portable electronics. The new source would come from muscle contraction or other body movements. This development is a new field in nanotechnology and is based on the Piezoelectric effect, a phenomenon that is based on the ability of certain materials to change mechanical energy to electrical energy. When this technology is perfected, you can literally dance your iPod alive, Mr. Pure Energy!
