I did not hear Al Gore answer news reporter's questions on what he was wearing (what was he wearing anyway?). But it is such a delight to see "greenies" on main-stream television. Celebrities like Leo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, and others give us a non-dope smoking, tie-dye wearing, long-haired, environmentalist image that people (especially young children) can identify and relate with. Who ever said getting bit by the green environmental bug was fab? Not until these guys came out and not until the Goracle unleashed his world-accepted film, The Inconvenient Truth which won the award for best Documentary.
Some people have gone to say that Al Gore will present himself as Presidential Candidate at the Oscars (Yes! Only in Hollywood!), which thankfully he did not do. Lets hope that that fighting for the environment does not end up to be just a buzz word. The message has to get across and has to stay with the audience, even if that means the magic of Hollywood disappears.
