The End of Pond Scum
I have heard a lot about this technology, but from what I have read, energy generated by algae had always been existing in somebody's backyard. Not anymore. Commercial scale algae power may be available soon, as demonstrated by Jim Sears land his company, Solix Biofuels. But their work is still in the research state and will take another five or six years before becoming commonplace. It might be worth the wait though, as this technology promises to deliver more than a hundred times the volume of biodiesel per hectare of any conventional feedstock. Too good to be true? We have to wait 5 to 6 years to find out...
