The Emergence of US Solar Salons
Across the United States, gatherings between bankers, fund managers, philanthropists, and solar panel users and experts are being organized by Mr. Travis Bradford, a former fund manager, corporate buyout specialist, and founder of the Prometheus Institute for Sustainable Development, that is working towards a corporate uptake of solar power. Prometheus Institute for Sustainable Development is a group based in Cambridge Massachusetts that promotes the use of sustainable technologies in the US. And these meetings are chicly called, Solar Salons.

Fueled by increased interest in Renewable Energy, individuals from many concerned and connected sectors are coming together informally, to discuss conceptual strategies of getting on the renewable energy, specifically solar energy craze. Alan Nogee, the director for clean energy of the Union of Concerned Scientists said, "The general public hasn't been this interested in solar and renewable energy since the days of Jimmy Carter." Peter Yarrow, of the folk group Peter, Paul, and Mary whose hits included "Puff the Magic Dragon," in 1963 said, "There were more people interested in solar in my living room than started the Civil Rights movement.".
Truly a sunny development. Read more here.
