The COROT Space Program

A French-led satellite project was launched to explore Earth-like planets beyond our solar system. This project is known as COROT, and will send into orbit a telescope that will detect planets smaller than what scientists currently know. I did not hear much about this project so I guess people are not looking beyond the stars as of the moment.
