Solar To Outshine All Other Energy Resources
That is what many people think. In a few years, solar energy could become the cheapest energy source around, cheaper than oil, coal, or other renewables, due to the expanding and increasingly effective solar energy conversion technologies. And when will this be? We can not pin down a date but economics-wise, experts believe the tipping point would be when solar power generation would fall below the $1 per watt, the cost of generating from coal. Only time, will of course say when this would happen but the decrease in price per watt produced from solar power (which was $100 per watt in the seventies!) would really be the key here. Not to make fun of the words but solar energy generation is truly, the sunrise industry of the energy sector.
