Qatar, a country in the Middle East Asian region, intends to put up its own version of the Stade de Suisse, to use sunlight that it receives amply. According to this article from the Gulf Times, a structure such as the Stade de Suisse will be useful in powering residential areas in Qatar, similar to what it has done for the Swiss beneficiaries of the power generated by the stadium using solar panels.
