New Zealand Ups Renewable Energy Tempo

New Zealand is upping the tempo links

as far as renewable energies are concerned. Contact Energy, a New Zealand based gas company has invested $1.4 Billion in renewable energy resources, particularly a 260 MW geothermal plant and a 400 MW wind farm. Good news for New Zealand and very fortunate for Contact Energy, who has benefited from clear renewable energy guidelines that have been mandated by the government. See the point here? Big investments come in when the settings are made right. Hope we learn something.

Geothermal power plants are the way to go, and if you can find many hot spots in and around New Zealand, then the country will benefit hugely from this introduction. At least we see that steps in the right direction starting to appear.
