New Wind Map

A new map has been developed to identify and determine the strength of wind currents, according to this article from LiveScience.Com. researchers have gathered wind speed data from 8,000 locations around the world through surface and balloon stations and have measured wind speeds throughout these locations. According to Cristina Archer of the Stanford University, you can pick 10 random locations on the planet and find out which of them is suitable for wind power generation.
Because wind power relies very much on the consistency of wind strength, this wind map serves the purpose well because it identifies which areas have consistent wind patterns and strengths.
