Italy Catches Up On Solar Energy

It looks like Italy is beefing up on its solar energy capacity, as 60 megawatts of total photovoltaic capacity is set to be available by this year. According to Gianni Silvestrini, energy adviser to Italy's Economic Development Minister Pierluigi Bersani,

"This year the new capacity will be 20 MW. It's a four-fold increase from last year's (new capacity of) 5 MW," "There is room for four or five-fold increases in the next few years,"
