Filed in archive Nuclear on December 30, 2006
It looks like another country will go down the Nuclear route, as Australian Prime Minister John Howard promised that swift action will be taken in favor of recent findings on the viability of nuclear power use in Oz-land,according to this report.
Mr. Howard also said that mining and exploration of uranium ores are allowable, since the end result would be the eventual replacement of coal plants in his country, which could reduce their global emissions by as much as 17%.

I know about this... I'm thirteen, live in Australia and will probably be blown up in a Nuclear Meltdown before I'm thirty if it goes through. Nuclear Power is the worst thing that happened to the world, despite the warming globe. And the waste!? What's old johnnie going to do about that? It's soooo depressing...
