Renewable Energy World reported this past week that Swedish power utility Vattenfall and Irish wave-energy developer Wavebob have announced plans to build a commercial-scale wave-energy project off the west coast of Ireland.
Wave energy is one of three types of natural power being developed from the oceans. Tidal energy is considered a seperate form of natural energy, and the efforts to harness major ocean currents is also a considerably different form of natural motion energy.
