Green Energy for the Millennium Stadium

Stadiums used for sports and entertainment activities require huge amounts of electricity for its operations. Millennium Stadium in Wales is leading the call for renewable energy use by positioning itself to utilize green energy. According to Paul Sergeant, Chief Executive of the Millennium Stadium, the establishment has been voted as one of the most iconic building in Wales and using renewable energy could inspire other stadiums to follow suit.
If you are thinking that a stadium consumes little by way of power, consider the fact that the power requirement of 1,900 homes is equivalent to a year of energy consumed by a regular sized stadium. The carbon dioxide emissions equivalent of that is significant and embracing a green energy approach reduces the stadium's contribution to Global Warming.
