Google Introduces Renewable Energy Search Engine
Sure you can narrow down your search when you use Google but did you know that the largest internet company (who is also advocating the use of Renewable energylinks by putting up a 1.6 MWe solar facility in its Silicon Valley campus) has developed a special search engine category for renewable energy developments?

The new function supposedly narrows down web searches and delivers pages of "useful" information, the useless ones culled out immediately. Intended for use by journalists, scientists, researchers, and policy makers, this endeavor is being established by Google with RealClimate, a website that publishes climate information from climate scientists.

There are quite a number of portals that service the renewable energy/climate change networks but with Google's name coming into the picture, those networks would be facing very stiff competition. The larger picture is that everybody in the renewable energy/climate change sector benefits from increased media exposure. What do you think?
