Exploring US Oil

I think people who find the middle ground make the practical sense but lacks one clear thing; an understanding of urgency. Here is one middle-ground type of opinion on oil from Examiner.com. I think the position being explained is practical. The use of oil and exploration for new resources of oil in the US, as pushed by US President George W. Bush is valid. Afterall the economy is oil-dependent.

But you wont have an economy if you dont have a market for your goods and services. And you wont have a market if the rest of the land masses go down under sea water, or if food and water become more scarce, or if people die one by one like flies dropping due to the heat of the sun because the air is so breath-unfriendly. The big picture is that we are in danger of perishing. All of us. The US included. If we dont do anything about it now.

Check this site out, a United States Interactive Carbon Footprint Map, illustrating Greenest States. This site has all sorts of stats on individual State energy consumptions, demographics and State energy offices.
