Ethanol is Now Politically Correct
After that lenghty transcript of the President's State of the Union speech, I figured its best to point out what is now correct to say.

1. Ethanol is now an accepted alternative and possible substitute (for some) of the USA's petroleum requirement. Sure there are so many issues here that are good to discuss, but let me leave the motherhood statement as is first and say that renewable energy advocates are rejoicing by the fact that biofuels are now seriously and politically considered by the US government.

2. The US through the US President, has acknowledged the need to act against global warming. Hopefully this will translate to positive action towards reducing GHG emissions across America, one of the largest polluters of this planet.

3. Renewable energy for cars is a first and hopefully not the last time it will be mentioned in a State of the Union Address. Again, many arguments here (I welcome your opinions! Send them to me!) but this officially encourages developers to find means and ways of making renewable energy technologies for vehicles become a reality, right?

I will come up with a compilation of "expert" reactions on these points. Till then!
