Do Wood Stoves Add to Climate Change Problems?

Researchers have found out that cooking stoves that are fuelled by wood or crop residue contribute significantly to climate change at a higher-than-expected rate. How so? The soot that these stoves produce absorb light and increase atmospheric temperatures, according to researchers from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, US. This is a huge problem, as a great percentage of the developing world relies on wood stoves for domestic and some low-technology industrial level. Read more here.
