Conserving the Planet

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Andrew Sullivan's piece entitled Wanted: A Practical Guide to Saving The Warming Planet. Written in the non-believer context, Andrew Sullivan thinks out aloud and states some of his observations, from Al Gore becoming US President if next year's summer gets hotter than the current heat wave in the US (although Hillary might give Al a good run for his money still), to working for UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and proposing a greening concept, to realizing that the heart of the global climate change mitigation mission lies in the quintessential conservative occupation of man.

Fair warning is due however. The article also talks about "taxing petrol to the point that it jolts consumers" which is dangerously complex especially for developing economies that rely on fossil fuel for economic development. Read the article and tell me what you think.
