China: Fast Becoming An Environmental Woe

A few weeks ago, Tony Blair said that if you shut down the entire United Kingdom of all its industries, China would contribute the amount of Green House Gases emitted by the UK in just two years. That says a lot, first the widely known giant that China is becoming is so immensely huge that the environmental impacts are certain, and secondly, that world leaders know it to be happening, but so far, we have not heard of any concrete cooperative plans to address this impending issue!

This article reports about this and even quotes Tony Blair asking for a strenghtened version of the Kyoto Protocol. Too good to ever be true? What do you think?
