Chevron Dabbles In Kitchen Wastes

Chevron Energy Solutions, a subsidiary of the listed corporation, and the city of Millbrae has just completed the city's water pollution control plant that uses kitchen wastes to produce biogas for generating energy and heat for the city's requirements.

The system includes a receiving statin and a cogeneration end that will result in energy savings of up to $300 thousand annually for the city. This development shows that cities can utilize their wastes to still produce energy and it is just a matter of partnering with the right organizations to see the vision through.
