Asian Summit Supports Bioenergy Development

This is one good proof that biofuels is big in Asia. Asian leaders have expressed their support for Biofuels development in Asia, as one of their resolutions in the on-going ASEAN Summit being held in Cebu, Philippines. The leaders have agreed to set the goals for reliable, adequate and affordable energy that will sustain economic growth and competitiveness.

    Biofuels will do little to curb energy demand and they have a very likely possibility of disrupting food and water markets. Politicians throughout the world have got this one wrong. ADM is no better than Exxon. Government resources would be better spent on reducing demand through conservation policies and R & D with renewable energies such as wind and solar.
