An Electric Silverado

A new Silverado is coming to town, an electric one! UQM Technologies, Inc. is displaying an all electric Silverado pickup truck at the Electric Drive Transportation Association Conference and Exposition in Washington, D.C. Funded by the U.S Air Force and the Robins Air Force Base, this Silverado will use a UQM(R) 120 kilowatt propulsion system and a lithium ion battery pack from Valence Technology, Inc that will provide 650 newton meters of torque and has a peak energy efficiency of 96 percent.
