Aggressive Wind Energy Targets for the US

According to the American Wind Power Association more than 3000 Megawatts of wind power will be put up in the US, easily a 25 percent increase in capacity this year. In 2006, the US increased its wind capacity by 20% to 11,600 megawatts and this year that number is expected to near 15,000 megawatts. Much of the new wind capacity will come from the states of texas and California, says this report.
Great news indeed.
