A Biodiesel Boat

I know there are Biofuel cars running around town. Try to go to the marina and see if you can find a biofuel-boat. Chances are you won't. Not unless you head to New Zealand and talk to Pete Bethune.

Pete is a 41 year old oil engineer and founder of a tech company that developed the first biodiesel boat. Christened the Earthrace, the 78-foot, high-tech, silver-colored, three-hulled craft, made mostly of carbon composite keeps calling Pete. It is designed to slice through the waters giving a smoother ride and allowing the boat to run at higher speeds even in rough waters.

Pete thinks it is the coolest boat it the world. Do you agree?
