40 Largest Cities Looking Out for Climate Change
The first piece of news that jumped off the page today was this article from Yahoo.com. It looks like the mayors of the 40 largest cities in the world have convened to talk about how to become more energy efficient and how to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

I think this is a big event, since these mayors are de facto presidents of their respective cities. They can institute methods and ask the local legislative body to create laws on energy use, among others. And when it reaches down to the mayorial level, you know things are getting serious.
